Welcome to my guide of killing Grunts.
Now you may know, Grunts are one of the strongest NPC's currently in Underdone with health being around 1000 and damage around 100 per bullet. With this guide, I will teach you how to kill them without any harm.
Level Required: 40+
Weapons: Buffalo Rfile/SR25
If possible, use a SR25 over the Buffalo Rifle as you will always get the shot. Killing Grunts are very costly as the sniper rifle ammo has seen an increase recently but the xp their quests give make up for this.
Armour: Biomech/Robo/Combine
Biomech being the easist dex set to obtain, it is recommended that you acquire this set as soon as you can. Robo armour is a bit harder to come across but if you obtain it from either the auction/other players, then you should do it. Combine armour is the rarest and hardest dex set to get as it is rarely sold in the auction and very few players own it. If you can get Combine armour, then you will be able to kill the Grunts with ease.
Location: if you take a left after existing spawn from the front gate, you should be able to see a road. Follow this road until you see a surrounding barricade of red containers. On the other side of these containers are the Grunts.
Note that there are two types of Grunts. Heavy Grunt and the normal Grunt.
Once you have reached the red barricade, walk on over the left back side and you should see a tiny tree right next to the container. Jump inside this tree and slide up until you are on top of the container. This will bring you to the middle roof. On the left would be the roof for killing Heavy Grunts while the roof on the right allows you to kill normal grunts.
Method: For the Heavy Grunts, there is this sweet spot sniping position right behind the chimney. Try to not get to close or they will start shooting at you. To reach the right roof, you need to perform a small crouch jump to get on it. Once on this roof, crouch/stand in an angle so you have just enough room to shoot the grunts at a distance without them getting a shot on you.
If you followed this guide correctly, you should be able to complete those tedious Grunt quests from Barney.
